Look, I like White Knight Chronicles II. A lot, actually. It’s one of those rare console experiences you can totally get lost in and play forever. I’m still playing it, and have been since its release. But I’ve played other games since then. I’ve lived my life. I’ve cooked dinners, went out with friends, went on vacation, took work trips, bathed my dog, wrote music, backed up my files, read books…
One Japanese gamer has probably missed all of that. This guy has logged 8,701 hours in White Knight Chronicles II. Hol-lee-sh*t! That breaks down to over 362 full days of gaming in this PS3 RPG. What does he have to show for it? The highest level (85) and the highest guild rank (40). Oh, and probably pale skin, a muffin top belly and considerable muscle loss. A role model, if you will.
Siliconera did the math. WKCII has only been available in Japan for 516 days. If this guy got the game at launch, he has spent almost 17 hours a day logged into the game. Wowl.
