We are now less than a month away from having tremendous epicness dropped into our anxious laps.
Halo 3 for Xbox 360 has gone Gold! That means we delivered a final version to our internal certification group that passed all the tests and is now being whisked away to top secret manufacturing locations to be turned into retail versions of the game – and eventually packaged and sent to stores in various cases, tins and cat-helmets.
What else is there to say? Halo 3 is one of biggest games of the year and will easily go above and beyond the $155 million figure Microsoft is predicting.
Unfortunately, there is some sad news to report on as well. Peter Marks, the man behind many of the levels in Halo including Hang Em High, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Bungie has set up a page where anyone can go and send Peter some well wishes. Watching someone suffer with cancer is a horrible experience and I can only imagine what a cancer patient goes through. I do know that if I was suffering like this and read a gigantic swarm of get well wishes from people I’ve never meet all over the world, well, it’d brighten up my day to say the least. Please go show that famous Dtoid love to Peter and send him a message.
