New net labels have been popping up out the yin-yang lately, but if that means more delicious chiptunes for the masses, what’s the problem?

Notable OverClocked ReMix artist Drew “halc” Wheeler has just launched a not-for-profit net label christened 9-bit Records, and the label’s first album, 9-bit Blitzkrieg, has gone live. Compiled by fellow OCR chum William “WillRock” Harby, 9-bit Blitzkrieg is an original 25-track release that features 15 artists, including Mazedude, Meteo Xavier, and others. The music spans several console styles but devotes plenty of attention to FM synth, so if you are a big fan of Sega Genesis audio as I am, you’ll feel right at home.

9-bit Blitzkrieg is free, so… do it. Go help halc and the boys break in the new digs
