NVIDIA offering free-to-play game credit with video cards

PlanetSide 2, Hawken, and World of Tanks

Those in the market for a graphics card might want to take NVIDIA up on its new offer, which throws in $75 to $150 worth of free-to-play currency with select purchases.

For the GeForce GTX 650 / 650 Ti, the company will include $25 in World of Tanks, Hawken, and PlanetSide 2 currency. For the GeForce GTX 660 and up, it’s $50 of in-game currency for each of those titles. The deal starts today in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India at participating retailers.

Interesting timing, given the current deal AMD is running that includes games like Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite with video cards. Something tells me those pack-ins are more desirable with this audience, not to say that NVIDIA’s deal here isn’t worthwhile. If you’re into two out of the three free-to-play games, that’s not bad at all.
