Nubuwo Winter Bundle is a sick pack of game-inspired jams

Only three days left for the bundle’s Kickstarter drive!

Our community’s own Matt “LawofThermalDynamics” Kim alerted me to this Kickstarter last week, but silly me, it completely slipped my mind until just now. With only three days left until donations close, I hope we can make it in time!

So videogame music site Nubuwo likes to release seasonal audio packs. For the Winter Bundle, a Kickstarter has been opened with the goal of producing a FAMI-MODE 2012 DVD. FAMI-MODE, by the way, is an 8-bit music festival in Tokyo operated by the METEOR culture shop, which has run fun, artsy activities in the past. The festival will be held on January 28, and the DVD will be sent out to $45+ donators the following month.

Of course, you don’t have to drop that much dough — a donation of $7 will net you one of the two music bundles, while $10 will net you both. The “INDIE pack” includes 112 songs by Lemmings and WipEout composer Tim Wright, FTL composer Ben Prunty, Hotline Miami contributor El Huervo, and Rainbow Moon composer Rafael Dyll. Meanwhile, the “FAMI Pack” includes 83 tracks from 8-Bit Jesus by Doctor Octoroc, Mega Ran 5th Anniversary Edition by Random, Killed by Koopa Stage One by Motherpluckin’ B, and tunes by the FAMI-MODE 2012 artists Professor Sakamoto, Omodaka, Kplecraft, and SEXY-SYNTHESIZER.

If you want to sample all that shizz — and you really should — I’ve embedded everything below. If you like what you hear, think about tossing some change the Kickstarter’s way. The goal is $8000 with only about $2900 more needed. You can do it! For the music!
