Now you can dictate more than just notes with Tropico for iPad

For all you toilet-break despots

We first heard back in June that tongue-in-cheek dictator simulator Tropico was headed to iOS platforms, but then things went a little bit quiet. Quite out of nowhere, developer Feral Interactive has sprung the news on us that Tropico will be hitting iPads in as little as two weeks’ time.

Completely redesigned for touch-screen technology, Tropico for iPad aims to bring all the shifty, off-the-record action of building your island paradise and keeping its occupants happy… or at least subservient. The iPad edition hopes to retain the meticulous balancing of actions and tricky management decisions that are the trademark of the series, now in its seventeenth year, believe it or not.

Best of all, Tropico for iPad is a premium release and contains zero microtransactions. You can start building a monument to your own greatness when the game launches December 18. Plans are in motion for an iPhone port in 2019.
