Nope, sorry, there probably won’t be an Indigo Prophecy 2

Ouch. If you thought there was a chance Indigo Prophecy could receive a sequel after developer Quantic Dream finished their PlayStation 3 exclusive title, Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer, you totally thought wrong. Like, dead wrong.

In an interview with 1UP, Quantic Dream co-founder David Cage killed all hope for an Indigo Prophecy 2, citing lack of inspiration as well as the possibility of “commercial disaster.”

“After Indigo, I wanted to work on something different because I thought [a sequel] would be a commercial disaster,” Cage said. “I quickly realized I had nothing more to say on this story and these characters.”

Well, at least he was candid. And, hey, Heavy Rain is still coming. Wipe those tears.
