Nom nom: Edible Nintendo Points Cards are in the house

Recommended Videos

A surprising but tasty package arrived from Nintendo today — a box of three cookies designed to look like Nintendo Points Cards. (No, they’re not redeemable for points, but totally edible.)

The idea here is that Nintendo is saying that for over thee years, “people have been enjoying the delicious downloadable offerings on Nintendo systems.” That, somehow, translates to delicious cookies. It also offers directions for “Nintendo’s Recipe for Holiday Joy”:

  • 2 1/4 c flour
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 broadband Internet connection
  • 1/2 tsp downloadable games
  • 1 Wii (or Nintendo DSi)

It’s unclear what I’m supposed to do with the flour, sugar, and eggs once I bring them to my Wii. I dumped them all over my Wii and nothing happened. Well, at least now I don’t have to leave for lunch, but someone needs to come figure out why my Wii is making that horrible noise.
