Nobuo Uematsu unveils his beautiful new Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward theme

Also, have some expansion footage

One of the best parts of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is the music. Most people don’t consider it a “real” Final Fantasy because of the MMO tag, but let me tell you — it’s probably my favorite main entry since X. It helps that legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu has another great track for Realm Reborn, which is the themsong for the Heavensward expansion.

Leading into the June 23 launch (June 19 for pre-order/early access) of Heavensward on PC, PS3, and PS4, Square Enix has also delivered a few videos of the dungeons and new job actions respectively, which you can check out below. Yep, I’m pretty jazzed up for this — it looks like a really hefty expansion.
