I know a lot of your are playing “wait and see” with DICE’s upcoming Mirror’s Edge, and it’s understandable. It’s a new IP with a curious take on first-person action — so you want to play a demo, right?
We know one is coming, but the question is when? According to information found on GameStop.com’s Mirror’s Edge page, it may be awhile. As a “bonus offer,” GameStop is offering “a code to gain exclusive access to the Mirror’s Edge Demo.” A note on the page details that the demo will be available for download on November 6. (*cough* That’s my birthday, I like candy. *cough*)
So if this is the case and gamers won’t get a demo until November 6, then “boo,” “hiss,” and all of that. The game is set to ship on November 11, which would give gamers less than a week with the title to make an informed decision. Additionally, what’s up with needing a “code” to download a demo? Aren’t demos usually, uh, free?
