With a brand new Wolfenstein on the cards, one could be forgiven for salivating at the thought of tackling the somewhat controversial Third Reich frontman, Adolf Hitler. Unfortunately, the Ron Mael lookalike will not be putting in an appearance for id’s Nazi-themed shooter … at least this time.
“No, he’s not in our game,” confirmed smirking lead artist Kevin Cloud. “We’ve got to save something for future Wolfensteins. We can’t do him in yet!”
The new title (to be launched “when it’s done”) follows on from 2001’s awful Return To Castle Wolfenstein, with hero BJ Blazkowicz fighting occult-dabbling Nazis using a dimension rift known as The Veil. You will use special Veil powers such as time slowdown to take on the jackbooted jackasses as they try and take over the world using a new energy source, The Black Sun.
