NIS horror game Yomawari: Night Alone creeps to Vita, PC this October

Physical copies come bundled with The Firefly Diary

As horror games are wont to do, Yomawari: Night Alone is launching in October.

Here’s the game’s  premise straight from the developer, Disgaea studio Nippon Ichi Software:

A young girl is walking her dog Poro around town at dusk when a tragic accident forces her to return home with only Poro’s leash in hand. The girl’s sister commands her to stay home while she goes out into the night to search for the dog. Time passes. Growing impatient, the girl decides to search for her missing sister and dog herself.

But when she steps foot outside, she realizes that this is not the same town. The darkness has made the town unfamiliar, and she appears to be utterly alone…save for the spirits that stalk her. The girl must hide from, outsmart, or outrun the hunting spirits while she searches for clues to find her loved ones.

NIS America plans to release the game for PlayStation Vita in North America on October 25 and worldwide via Steam that same day. Meanwhile, folks in Europe will have to wait until October 28 to get their hands on a copy of the game on Sony’s portable system.

The retail package will come bundled with a copy of Nippon Ichi’s htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary as a bonus, while a limited edition package includes things like art books, a soundtrack CD, and a flipping thermos!
