Starting with Super Mario Galaxy 2
Wii games are now going digital on the Wii U eShop. The process begins today with Super Mario Galaxy 2 joining the Virtual Console library this afternoon. Punch-Out!! will follow suit on January 22 with the Metroid Prime Trilogy coming at the end of the month, January 29.
Each of these games will be available at half-price ($9.99) in their first week on the market.
Nintendo also revealed more Wii titles are on the way, some of which will be able to be played using the Wii U GamePad (should the game feature Classic Controller support), whereas other software will require a Wii Remote and Nunchuk setup.
