Nintendo still lists Xenoblade for North America in 2011

Depending on how optimistic you are, there is good news for those of us who want to see Xenoblade localized. Many gave up hope on this roleplaying game, believing it even less likely to get a Western release than The Last Story, but Nintendo says otherwise.

Xenoblade is still listed for a 2011 North American release, with a “TBA” release date. Of course, Nintendo also listed a Wii-bound Kirby game for years before Epic Yarn was even conceived, but at least Xenoblade is a legitimate, finished game that would simply require a lengthy, albeit possible, translation.

The Monolith Soft RPG has been in a limbo-like “TBA” state for a while, but Nintendo’s continual listing of it is better than an outright cancellation. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Nintendo’s serious, and didn’t just forget to quietly nix its localization plans when nobody was looking.
