Nintendo pumps money into new Kyoto R&D building

Recommended Videos

We reported awhile back that Nintendo is building a new research and development facility near their headquarters in Kyoto. New reports say that the house of Mario has decided to pump even more money into this facility. They’ve now invested 16.5 million yen (about $204 million) into the project, hiking up the original number of 12 billion yen.

Andriasang says that construction begins early next year. Nintendo looks to have building wrapped up by 2013.

What are they going to do in this new, fancy facility? Make more consoles that will make us crosseyed? Figure out a new way to cram touchscreens on something else?
