“It ain’t over yet for Splatoon.”

As discussed during the Nintendo Direct presentation this afternoon, the inky shooter will continue to improve this year with more updates. First up, a patch is dropping on March 8 (March 9 in Europe) that improves lesser-used abilities to make them more desirable, adjusts matchmaking and team assignments for ranked battles, and adds new Splatfest elements.

Another update, a two-parter, is coming as well. The first arrives in April. There will be tweaks for existing weapons and new “weapon set recommendations” — combinations featuring a selection of some of the “most popular and unappreciated weapons.”
