Merchandise leak proves true

Earlier this year, a Mario Tennis Aces tote bag featured images of three characters who had yet to be announced as contenders for the Switch sports title: classic enemy Koopa Paratroopa, mischievous scamp Diddy Kong, and the egg-firing Birdo of Super Mario Bros. 2 fame.

Well, Nintendo Japan have finally given official confirmation that the trio will be joining Mario Tennis Aces later in 2018. No specific date was given for the new DLC, though they won’t be arriving until September at least, I guess they’re still in training. In the meantime, players can prepare for the coming of Koopa Troopa and Blooper, who both received trailers earlier today.
