‘Get good at changing those cameras’

At this afternoon’s Nintendo Direct, Shigeru Miyamoto kicked off the show by announcing a new Star Fox game. It’s called Star Fox Guard, and it looks to be a tower defense game.

The way it works is that the player controls 12 security cameras that are strategically positioned around a winding map. By switching between them, they find and dispatch attacking enemies. The Star Fox tie-in seems to be that Slippy Toad is the camera operator.

Miyamoto also mentioned that Star Fox Guard will release alongside Star Fox Zero on April 22. They two games will come bundled, or be available to purchase separately on the eShop. There was no mention of what individual or bundled prices will be.
