So it all comes down to this.
After a few weeks of various reports of slippery handed slug creatures tossing their Wii remotes into everything from their televisions to their hamsters, Nintendo will be replacing the “faulty” straps. Free of charge of course for consumers. Nintendo on the other hand will spend several million dollars on the recall. Ouch.
Getting a replacement is easy enough — Nintendo has set up an online request form that requires your shipping info and Wii serial numbers.
Personally, I’m too lazy to get up to see what my serial number is on my Wii, so I’m going to pass on this one. But for everyone who wants to hit Nintendo in the wallet because you think there’s a chance you’re also slightly retarded (and might fling a controller across a room), here’s your chance.
Stick it to the man.
(Thanks to everyone who sent this tip in. We love you.)
