Ninety-Nine Nights II hits Japan in Spring 2010

It may be a poor man’s Dynasty Warriors, but I’m still interested to see what the sequel to Ninety-Nine Nights has to offer. The original game, published by Microsoft, had potential and was armed with some sweet visuals, but the gameplay was lacking when compared to Omega Force’s efforts. Hopefully the new Konami-published followup gives us more bang.

Japan will found out if N3II is up to snuff in Spring of this year. No word on a Western release date yet, but hopefully we’ll get a taste of it before the year is out.

The game was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show in 2008, so developer Feelplus has had plenty of time to make this game superior to the original. Hopefully it’ll be good, but I’ll certainly remain guarded until I can get my hands on it.
