Nightwolf wants to axe you nicely in Mortal Kombat 11

No doubt tired of the incessant nagging of the Mortal Kombat twitter community, NetherRealm Studios’ Ed Boon has released a short clip feature the in-game model of klassic fighter Nightwolf, who will be joining the roster of Mortal Kombat 11 in the near future.

The brief clip posted to the director’s twitter appears to be a victory pose, and shows the shaman getting busy with his trusty hand axe. I must say, I wasn’t convinced by the earlier renders, but I actually think that our boy Wolf is looking pretty good. No doubt he will also be bringing his light bow and mighty shoulder charge to bear once he steps back into the ring.

And when will he step back into the ring? Well, we still don’t know when (or indeed who) the next DLC character will arrive, but the date has passed for EVO qualifying characters, so perhaps we’ll be hearing the announcement at the event itself, which takes place in Las Vegas on the weekend of August 2. Imagine if NRS surprised us, and Nightwolf and Sindel drop on the same day? That’d be neat, but not likely.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
