Marvelous’ spooky Balance Board game, Night of the Sacrifice, just got some freaky new screens and details. I’m terrified already!
In case you did not yet know, Night of the Sacrifice is set in Tsukuyomi Ravine, where people used to make sacrifices to the Gods. Of course, a group of five idiot college kids show up to party, and decide to set up shop in a spooky mansion.
The kids hear a young girl calling for help, which kicks off a curse which ends in their deaths. Unsurprisingly, you’ll use the Wii remote as a flashlight in order to explore the scary house of death, and the game will be split into episodes shared out between four playable characters.
The game looks promising, but I’m not entirely sure I want to buy a whole balance board for this. Nor am I sure that those who already own the peripheral are the kind of “gamers” who want things like Night of the Sacrifice. I could be wrong, but I’m wondering if Marvelous isn’t misjudging the appeal here.
