Square Enix has announced a new event – set to take place later this month – which will see upcoming remake NieR: Replicant crossover with the phenomenally popular mobile title NieR: Reincarnation.

As reported by GameWith, (with translation from Siliconera), the event will see NieR Replicant protagonists Nier, Kainé, and Emil venture into the bleak-yet-serene world of “The Cage,” where they will no doubt encounter NieR Reincarnation‘s own protagonist “White Girl,” accompanied by her ghostly sidekick, Mama. The event, which is being held to celebrate the upcoming launch of NieR Replicant, will offer NieR Reincarnation players the opportunity to bag exclusive themed items and login bonuses.

NieR Reincarnation has taken Japan by storm, having been downloaded over 10 million times since its launch a mere month ago. The free-to-play gacha title is currently in the process of being localized for a western release, and is expected to hit these shores at some point later this year. In the meantime, NieR Replicant will launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One April 23.
