Next week’s No Man’s Sky update is Halloween appropriate

The Abyss

Next week will see “another small step on a longer journey” for Hello Games and No Man’s Sky following its NEXT overhaul. The developer is releasing a free content update ominously titled The Abyss.

The update, which will launch across all three platforms, “focuses on some of the eerier elements of No Man’s Sky, in keeping with the theme of this season.” Most of Hello Games is “hard at work on fixes and improvements,” but “a handful” of developers have been brewing The Abyss behind the scenes.

If recent data mining is anything go off, this update will liven up the ocean. Apologies to those of you with Thalassophobia, but it would seem you’re just an easy mark for the video game industry.

I’m holding out for an Event Horizon update next Halloween.
