Next Dota 2 tournament scheduled during PAX Prime

One million dollars was given away last year in Germany to Na’Vi, a Dota 2 team from the Ukraine, for winning the Dota 2 International tournament. This year, at PAX Prime (August 31-September 2) in Seattle, yet another cool Mill will be given out to the best of best. Na’Vi will be back to defend their title, but now that the game is in the hands of more players I’d expect some tougher competition.

I’ve already sunk dozens of hours into Dota 2, which is my first venture into the MOBA genre. The game is structured in such a way that newer players can jump in and start learning the ropes, although it’s far from perfect in that aspect. I watched the International last year, but I wasn’t really sure what was going on. This year I will watch with more wisdom and understanding, and I expect to have a much better time as a result. I still can’t be trusted in the middle lane, though…

Ticket information will be unveiled in the coming weeks, but for now you can tide yourself over by watching the archive of last year’s tournament.
