Here is a trailer for the nicely titled Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii, a fan-made hack. It’ll be playable on homebrew-capable Wii systems, if everything goes as planned, in November (!!!).
One of my favorite Mario concepts is the levels where your surroundings are gigantic, and they’ve got one of those in this. Now if only we can do that, and throw in Kuribo’s Shoe for good measure.
I’m going to echo the sentiment that Nintendo ought to include an editor in more of its titles. Lord knows players are determined to bring Mario levels to every game which allows for user-generated content. Might as well have them spend their time on your stuff directly, Nintendo.
