New Zelda: Breath of the Wild footage shows off runes

Hold them over your head

A post from Nintendo Europe’s Twitter account has given us a video showing off some runes from the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It looks like some pretty neat stuff, especially when coupled with the dynamic world of the game.

My biggest concern has to be the frame rate in this clip. I know the Wii U isn’t a powerhouse, but it’s not like Nintendo to release a game with an unstable framerate. I don’t know if going for an unlocked refresh rate would help, but I certainly don’t want to be playing a game in the 15 FPS range.

While I wish we had a solid release date (apart from March 2017, maybe), getting to see more footage from the game makes me happy. I can’t wait until this launches, whether I end up getting the NX or not.
