New version of Uplay features Twitch integration

Uplay also unsurprisingly confirmed for next-gen consoles

Live streaming of your videogames seems to be all the rage among you kids. Ubisoft is making a point to swoop in on that trend, and it will all come to fruition with the new iteration of Uplay.

Uplay PC 4.0 will feature the integration of Twitch, a little streaming service that averages 45 million visitors a month. Users will be able to broadcast their playthroughs of Ubisoft titles, as anyone that’s familiar with Twitch would expect. Uplay PC 4.0 is rolling out in October 2013.

If those that prefer console play were somehow concerned that Uplay wouldn’t arrive on next-generation systems, then good news (I guess)! Ubisoft confirmed the service’s existence on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Love it or hate it, Uplay’s here to stay.
