The new look for Lara Croft is certainly more rough-and-tumble than we’ve seen her be in the past. A new batch of screenshots released today features the dirty heroine in a number of painful (or, in one case, compromising) positions.
This is the point in the conversation where I would normally comment with some depth about how Tomb Raider is a series drastically in need of a reboot (it is) but I can’t muster the enthusiasm. It looks pretty and it’s nice to see people trying but after the last time I got my hopes up that things were moving in a better direction (Legends) they were cruelly dashed (Underworld). I just can’t deal with that kind of an emotional roller coaster again.
