New TNA iMPACT! trailer and screens help you ’embrace the pain’

I think my head just exploded. This new trailer for TNA iMPACT! put together for Leipzig Games Convention is packed with action. Thumping dance music, lots of explosions, a really excited guy with a deep voice telling us to “embrace the pain.” Kind of makes me want to hit someone with a steel ladder.

Even if you’re not a wrestling fan, you have to admit that the game is looking pretty great. As the deep voiced guy reminds us, the game is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3. The good news is that the game runs at a smooth 60 frames-per-second. That might not sound like much, but it definitely makes a difference; in the preview time I’ve had with the game, it’s all been very fast paced, and — dare I say it — had an arcade feel.

Midway have also sent along a few new screens of the game, and for those of you who like sweaty character models, you’re in for a real treat. Enjoy.

TNA iMPACT! comes to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 9. Although I’ve never seen them with my own eyes, PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of the game exists as well, but don’t have a release date at this time.
