We learned a few days ago that Hyde park Entertainment’s upcoming Street Fighter film will be titled Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, and the main focus of its story will be on … well, guess who.
Casting has begun on the new movie, and now it’s been revealed that Kristin Kreuk will be playing the lead role. I’m not going to pretend that I watch television and have any idea who that is, because I don’t, but the internets tell me that she’s from the show Smallville.
Prior work and the size of her villes aside, Ms. Kreuk would not have been my first choice, personally. Nothing against her, mind you, but she’s not … how can I say this … she’s not very … OK, so Wikipedia says she’s got some Chinese ancestry, but come on. Chun-Li? Really? What, Ziyi Zhang was busy?
