New single-player mode teased for Killer Instinct

Microsoft managed to sneak in a hint of a new mode (which was previously leaked) in its launch trailer for Killer Instinct, and now it’s spilling the beans. It looks like “Shadow Lords” is on the way, which will add a brand new single-player gametype.

In short, players will do battle with a team of fighters against a cabal lead by the recently announced Gargos. Crafting is in, as is some sort of progression system. Sounds good to me, and it finally delivers on a real campaign of sorts that has been missing since launch.

My guess is that they’re going to reveal some more villains (like RAAM) before they fully release the new mode.
