What do you get when you mix Sackboy of LittleBigPlanet fame with the PlayStation Move? You get a new PlayStation Network title called Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves. See what they did with the name there? This spin-off is set in, of course, prehistoric times, in “a dinosaur dominated land where the Evil Big Rex is king.” The cute names don’t stop: you take on missions from a guy named Terrance Dactyl. I love it.
In MediaMolecule’s description of the gameplay it sounds like you’ll use the PlayStation Move to manipulate items and platforms to pave the way for others using a DualShock controller. That’s right: this is a Move-required, co-op required experience, meaning you’ll need at least one Move controller and one friend.
The game is a standalone title — you don’t need LBP to play it. It will be released on December 15th on the PlayStation Store for €5.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers will get it for free, and a week early, on December 8th. Those that buy LittleBigPlanet 2 early next year will get it free on the disc.
