New Resident Evil: Remastered video has four improvements to show you

The catch is it’s in Japanese

Alessandro told us last week that Resident Evil was a difficult game to remaster. That’s because it’s more than a simple upgrade to HD. This Japanese video gives a bit of first-hand insight as to some of the features that Capcom focused on.

There are four features highlighted in this trailer. Players will have the option to toggle between 16:9 widescreen and 4:3 fullscreen at any time. Capcom’s also improving the infamous “tank controls” of the original, but they’re still available to use if that’s your preferred method.

The remaster will also have full Japanese voiceover support and include the mockumentaries Wesker’s Report I and II. Few in the west will probably care about the former, but the Wesker Reports are a nice addition to round out the experience.
