New Resident Evil 5 scans are MORE RACIST THAN EVER!

Recommended Videos

Actually, they are not racist at all. Sorry for the false alarm.

What they are, though, is awesome. I have to say, I am loving the look of Resident Evil 5 the more I see of it. I love the character design. I love the set pieces. And I really love the lighting. Having the game take place in such bright, almost blinding environments is such a cool (and creepy) twist on the usual dark and dreary locations the Resident Evil series is known for.

Some new information about the game was also revealed in the Famitsu article that the scans were grabbed from: Besides clarifying how important sunlight is to the gameplay, the article mentions the inclusion of big boss-style enemies (in a similar vein to Nosferatu from Code Veronica). Three weapons were also confirmed: the classic knife, handgun, and sniper rifle.

What do you think? Is daylight even scarier than darkness? Do you think Resident Evil 5 has the potential to be better than the masterpiece that was Resident Evil 4?

[Thanks, Adam!]
