In its divine wisdom, Screen Gems has decided that it’s not enough to give the world yet another Resident Evil movie by Paul W.S. Anderson, but that we would all be better off with a title that captures the true dynamic essence of a fifth entry in a quality series: Re5ident Evil: Retribution.
According to an interview on Collider.com, the new film will feature Las Plagas because that way the infected can “run around, ride motorbikes, and shoot machine guns.” Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Barry Burton will make an appearance due to popular request, and they are lifting some driving/turret sequence out of Resident Evil 5.
