And online continues to go brick and mortar
Gaming hardware manufacturer Razer is opening an old-fashioned “store,” its first in the United States. It’s located in the nicer of San Francisco’s two malls, downtown’s downtown’s Westfield Shopping Centre and opens to the public May 21 and 10AM PST.
The 1,300 square foot, two-level store will let you test out all of Razer’s stuff and, “more than 20 gaming stations with the latest hardware from Razer and its partners will be available for anyone to use.”
If you don’t suffer from stage fright and can deal with your gameplay showing up on a 16 foot by 9 foot, “Store patrons are invited to stay all day and play games on-site.”
There will also be organized, weekly gaming events, so it seems like it’s meant to be a chill hang out spot as much as a place you run into because your dog chewed up your headphones. I hope it’s just filled with teens playing DOOM all day because their dads won’t buy it for them.
