New Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain save-killing bug affecting PS4 users

If you use multiple SEN accounts

Given that no one reads the overbearing startup messages for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, let me point out a worthwhile one.

Konami has identified “cases” of a new progress-killing bug affecting PlayStation 4 users. If you have multiple PlayStation Network accounts tied to your PS4 (I do) and more than one of them are playing The Phantom Pain (they are), the game might start generating a, “This save data cannot be used, as the relevant downloadable content was not found” error upon trying to load a save.

While I haven’t experienced it yet myself with two people playing regularly (well, up until a couple weeks ago), it is serious enough that Konami is urging that, “only a single SEN account per PS4 system be used to play the game” until a fix is found. Good thing for Kenny I’m gone another week.
