New Lost Planet 2 gets early release date, new demo

If you tried the last Lost Planet 2 demo and still can’t decide if you like it or not, Capcom is prepared to go further in order to convince you. An all-new demo is scheduled to arrive on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. This one will be significantly larger though.

Sixteen players will be able to go head-to-head in this upcoming multiplayer demo, imbued with the power of voice chat support and stat tracking. It will go live on April 21, though Capcom will be handing out early access codes for those who keep an eye out for them, giving players a chance to hop in from March 31.

In even cooler news, there’s an incentive for playing the demo. Download it and you’ll immediately unlock the Machine Gun SP for the full retail version of Lost Planet 2. In news even cooler than that, it has also been announced that the game’s console release date has been pushed forward by a week, with fans now able to pick the game up on May 11.

So, how about that for something that is good?
