New Lego Overwatch teaser features adorable Tracer minifig

The Lego company and Blizzard Entertainment continue to tease their upcoming range of Lego Overwatch sets, which were first announced back in May. A fun new teaser gives us a look at the first minifig in the series, Lena Oxton, more commonly known as Tracer.

In the fun clip, Overwatch producer Jeff Kaplan snaps Tracer together, who then comes to life, gleefully teleporting around Kaplan’s desk. I see no disclaimer saying otherwise, so I’m going to assume from this commercial that all Lego Overwatch figures, once completed, turn sentient.

The potential here is huge, not only for a full range of minifig and maxifig characters, but also for builds such as Orisa, D.Va’s mech, and various dioramas based on the online shooter’s many maps. The only real downer is that Lego is as expensive as all hell, which bodes ill for the bank accounts of die-hard fans.

You can check out the brief commercial in the tweet below. The Lego Overwatch range is still listed as “Coming Soon”. I’m expecting a date to be announced at the upcoming BlizzCon event.
