New Inversion trailer shows off gravity-defying co-op

Inversion has been a long time coming ever since it was announced way back in 2009 as a third person shooter like no other due to the fact that you’re able to manipulate gravity. Since then, we’ve seen a live action trailer, screenshots that may or may not make you ill and, for the heck of it, we decided to kidnap Inversion’s game director and interview him.

Well, now we’re getting new information regarding Inversion’s co-op mode via a new trailer. Inversion has been confirmed to feature a multiplayer co-op “drop-in, drop-out” mode meaning that players can come and go and the game will not get interrupted. The trailer likes to show off the gravity manipulation parts quite a bit, where the player is seen doing things from lifting up enemies to using cars and trucks as cover, only to later squash enemies with them.

Inversion will launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 7, 2012 in North America, and three days later in Europe.
