New Injustice DLC character trailer to premiere at EVO

Who’s on first?

Last week, NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon assured us that General Zod wouldn’t be the last character added to the DC Comics fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us despite being the last of the first planned batch of fighters. It seems news of the latest addition isn’t far off, either.

Shoryuken reports that a teaser trailer set to be premiered exclusively at Evo 2013, this Sunday, before the Injustice: Gods Among Us finals, will announce the upcoming fighter. The trailer will feature gameplay, which may hint the fighter is closer to battle ready than not. Hopefully this reveal will be the first in a second batch of fighters to match the game’s already steady stream of additions since its April release, which include Batgirl, Lobo, Scorpion, and Zod.

Boon also tweeted that, “The EVO Injustice DLC debut video will also feature a new character skin that players have been CLAMORING for MONTHS now!” Hopefully it’s a skin to make Nightwing look more like Chris O’Donnell, am I right?

Any character you’re pining to see this Sunday?
