New EA MOBA Dawngate coming from Waystone Games

That woman’s gloves are far too large

It appears as though EA is looking to delve further into the MOBA genre with the premature reveal of Dawngate. The main site went live yesterday, only giving a glimpse at the art style as well as some background on the developer, Waystone Games.

It’s hard to say whether or not this new studio can hope to compete in the huge and dominated market of the MOBA genre, but its intentions do seem to be well-placed: “We are sincere students of games; what they are, what they have been, what they have become. And we want to make a contribution.”

No other information concerning the story or champions for Dawngate has been revealed, other than the header image and some fairly generic bulletpoints underneath it. If you do want to get in on the ground floor of a new MOBA, Waystone Games is currently accepting applications for beta testers.
