New Destructoid Episode: NBAs, SDKs, and Project Cafes

Recommended Videos

Hey guys, we’re back with another embarrassing attempt at journalistic integrity with a very special Earth Day episode of The Destructoid Show. Where we uh… Save the whales or something.

We discuss the week’s two big releases, Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat, both of which are radical. Then there’s NBA Jam for the iPad, which I talked about because it was an excuse to shout stupid NBA Jam catchphrases. The Nintendo DS Lite got DS-continued, and I’m very proud of that wordplay I just did right there. Crytek is opening up Crysis 2 to modders with an editor, and opening up the whole dang CryENGINE with a new SDK. Finally some rumor-mongering about Nintendo’s new Project Cafe system. Gonna put this out there: “Project Cafe” is the dumbest name for anything, let alone a console, since “Wii.” They obviously need to fire someone.

Also — If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, let’s hang out. We’ll be at Dolores Park from 1:00 to 2:30. Capcom’s gonna be there, and we’re gonna have a Street Fighter IV 3D tournament. There might be prizes or snacks or something. You don’t even need a 3DS, just come hang out and make lewd comments about Tara’s boobs in person. Full details here.

Spoiler Alert: inb4 someone calls us hipsters for having a meet-up at Dolores Park. We are raging stereotypes.
