New Dead Island trailer shows some in-game footage

Here’s a new trailer for Dead Island. It shows off a little in-game footage, though nothing too outstanding. You’ll want to check it out regardless. 

I see that Deep Silver is still milking the “emotional” angle quite heavily, despite the fact that the gameplay sounds nothing like the marketing. I really hope they know what they’re doing with this, because if they keep implying an emotionally engaging experience, and we get Dead Rising in Bermuda shorts, there could be a massive load of backlash. 

I’m planning to check the game out at E3. Guess we’ll see just how close the marketing is to the product.
