New Cube World video features hang gliders and sailboats

Like Wind Waker with voxels

It’s been awhile since we’ve taken a look at Cube World, a voxel-based action-RPG, but that doesn’t mean the small team hasn’t been working on it. Indeed, the game’s development blog has seen fairly regular updates, usually with a fresh batch of cubey screenshots.

The video above shows off some of the exploration aspects of Cube World, which seems pretty heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, with hang gliders and sailboats used as modes of transportation. Also featured is the world map, which shows just how expansive and varied the terrain is set to be.

Cube World doesn’t have a solid release date set, but only the vague statement that it will release “when it’s done.”
