Godfree over at Gamertag Radio was cool enough to pass along some fresh nuggets of information about the Xbox 360 release of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.
1)Xbox Live Vision camera: Yes! On the multiplayer game lobby before the battle starts you can see other players in the game.
There’s always the chance of seeing a naked body part prior to starting a game now, which right there should be enough to get anyone jacked up about gathering resources for the Brotherhood of Nod.
2)New game modes: Just like in LOTR Battle for Middle Earth II (Xbox 360 version) they will have new game modes such as King Of The Hill, and Capture & Hold. These modes are exclusive to the Xbox 360.
The inclusion of new modes is always welcome, as they’ll give gamers a reason to want to ditch their mouse/keyboard setup for a potentially clunkier gamepad experience. Well, new modes and the fact that I only have 32 megs of RAM in my PC.
3)Xbox 360 Achievements: The only that we know so far is called “Mr Know It All!”. So how you can get this achievement? By skipping the tutorial of the game. This is one of many bad achievements you can get from the game.
“Bad” indeed. Electronic Arts has consistently been the worst with their achievements and if this one is any indication, they’ve learned absolutely nothing. Who wants to place bets on when we’ll start seeing achievements unlocked via microtransactions?
4)Xbox live Marketplace: C&C 3 dashboard themes coming soon sometime this year.
Well thank God.
Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars hits shelves on March 29th and I’m far more excited about the game than this post lets on. I promise.
