New Call of Duty in 2009

Activision Blizzard loves its yearly sequels, as CEO Bobby Kotick has confirmed that a new Call of Duty will arrive in 2009, even though World at War hasn’t even been released yet.

Kotick said that this “all new Call of Duty game” will “leapfrog” development teams, presumably meaning that Infinity Ward will take charge for the project. Infinity Ward is still working on its new secret project, but has stated that it will be “quite a while” before we can learn anything more about that.

In the meantime, sit back and watch Activision continue to be one of the industry’s most succulent dairies, milking its franchises for all they are worth.
