New book PIXELGALAXY collects Game Boy art and essays

PIXELGALAXY is a book all about the Nintendo Game Boy and the pixel graphics. It includes its secret of success, an overview of the top games and takes a closer look at the graphics,” writes Sergio Ingravalle, the book’s author and curator.

“For many people this book is full of nostalgia, a journey through time back to the childhood and an inspiration for designers, at the same time.”

According to Game & Graphics, Ingravalle is currently looking for a publisher for PIXELGALAXY. It doesn’t seem like it should be a problem — it’s slick presentation, retrospective essays, and beautifully detailed images make for an attractive book.

For a rather large and nostaligic gallery, be sure to check out Ingravalle’s entry on Behance.net. I’d forgotten the width and breadth of the Game Boy until clicking through there — it’s a treat.
