New Ben and Dan game in the works, sort of

Adventure game super duo, Size 5 (the developers formally known as Zombie Cow,) are working on another outing starring their digital doppelgangers. Time Gentlemen, Please! and Ben There, Dan That! are two of my all time favorite adventure games, so I’m making shrill, excited noises right now. Dan Marshall wasn’t giving anything away on their forums, but at least confirmed that the game, known currently by the codename “SOBAD”, is in the pipeline.

SO: will we release it? Probably. I’m not sure how long it’ll take, or how much time I’ve got to dedicate to it (The Swindle is my job, this is just for giggles for when that gets boring) and there’s now a LOT to do. But insofar as avoiding what made Revenge of the Balloon-Headed Mexican disappointing and problematic, I’m pretty happy we’ve managed that

They were working on a third game in the series a while ago, Revenge of the Balloon-Headed Mexican, but they weren’t happy with what they produced. Their concern was that they were just treading old ground, which led to them scrapping the game. Now their main focus is The Swindle, a steampunk platformer. But, gaming gods willing, we’ll get to see Ben and Dan get themselves into more trouble in the future. I’ll certainly be keeping my eye on SOBAD.
